Why Beautiful Chaotic Mess? The name wasn’t something I sat down and carefully planned ( I wouldn’t know how to carefully plan anything)

Years ago, someone I was dating looked at my life, my creativity and the way I approached the world and smiled.

“You’re a beautiful chaotic mess,” he said, He wasn’t being unkind. It was one of those rare moments where someone described me so perfectly that the words stayed with me.

Years later, when it came to naming my creative business, nothing else felt right! I have been using “Sadie Barrow Illustration” for many years, and it will always be apart of me. But as my work grew beyond illustration into books, handmade creations and all sorts of wonderfully wonky ideas, I realised I needed a name that felt like me.

To me BEAUTIFUL CHAOTIC MESS isn’t just business name, it is who I am and feels like HOME.
